Next 8-9 March 2019 ECBN is celebrating its annual Members’ Forum in Hamburg, Germany. Under the theme “Innovating Creative Industries”, this two-day event will gather experts from across Europe to discuss on key developments for the cultural and creative sectors with a special focus on innovation.

On March 7, participants will be welcome by ECBN Managing Director, Bernd Fesel, and Egbert Rühl, Managing Director at Hamburg Kreativgesellschaft. Afterwards it is two hours of members meeting members – a new surprise format “Networking 4.0 with the artist collective „Dropstuff”.  Then, Bernd Fesel will present the outlook for Cultural Creative Industries in Europe for 2019, a Policy Update on the European Union, the European Institut for Innovation and Technology, the UNESCO and the OECD. To close the day, participants will enjoy an evening program with specials events in Hamburg.

The second day of the event, March 8, will kick off with Best-Practice and Knowhow Transfer on “Innovating Frameworks for the Creative Industries”, by Jenny Kornmacher, Paolo Montemurro, Bart Ahsmann and others. Next, Rita De Graeve, Gerin Trautenberger, Egbert Rühl and Michal Hladky will explore the topic “Setting the Agenda for CCI in 2019” through a World Café with all members. Finally, Kai Huotari, Director of Kaapeli / European Creative Hubs Network, will deliver a keynote speech with focus on the Finnish EU-Presidency and the European Creative Industries Summit 2019 in Helsinki.

After the closing words a networking lunch and an internal meeting will be held for members to discuss on diverse issues related to the network’s management.
